Private counseling,
tailored to what you need

Life doesn’t always follow a clear path. Sometimes we get entangled in patterns—compulsive habits, hidden shame, or a nagging sense that we’ve lost our way — and it can feel difficult or overwhelming to face these struggles alone. I offer digital, private, one-on-one counseling for those seeking genuine change without the red tape of traditional mental health services. If you value confidentiality and direct, personalized attention, my approach may be just what you need.

My approach
What I can support with

Behavioral addictions

Struggling with behavioral addictions, such as (mild) alcohol use, problematic use of porn, sex-addiction, binge eating or gambling? You’re not alone. We’ll uncover the roots of these behaviors and develop healthier coping strategies.

Living with secrets, guilt, or prolonged feelings of shame

Living under the weight of hidden truths can be paralyzing. In our sessions, you’ll find a safe, non-judgmental space to open up and begin examining the process of self-acceptance.

Life transitions & interpersonal conflicts

From relationship challenges to major crossroads in your life, I can stand beside you and help finding clarity so you can move forward with confidence.

Loneliness, low self-esteem and mild forms of depression and anxiety

If you’re feeling isolated, restless, have feelings of low self-esteem, or struggling with persistent low mood or worry, I can support you explore these processes and take practical steps toward change and reconnection.

A collaborative, individualized process

Every individual is unique—so is every journey towards change. Rather than fitting you into a one-size-fits-all model, we’ll collaborate to find an approach that resonates with your personal history, goals, and preferences. We’ll explore what methods work best for you—whether that’s intensive work over a short period, more reflective pacing, or a blend of different techniques. Depending on the progress and your needs, we’ll adjust our strategy to ensure you’re always receiving the support that’s most meaningful and effective for you.

Confidentiality & professional boundaries

As a psychologist, I am bound by a code of confidentiality. You can speak freely, knowing that no human behavior is foreign to me. The only exception for breaking confidentiality is if there is a real and immediate risk to another person that can only be prevented by disclosing necessary information.

Outside the traditional system

This is not psychotherapy or psychiatric care but supportive counseling. I don’t offer formal diagnoses or treat severe psychiatric conditions. Because I work outside of insurance frameworks, you maintain full privacy and autonomy in your counseling journey.

Practical tools & assignments

I draw from a variety of therapeutic perspectives—including motivational techniques, client-centered approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), narrative exercises, and elements of Buddhist psychology, such as mindfulness and meditation. Between sessions, I may provide customized exercises and “homework” to help you integrate insights into your daily life. Real change happens in the space between our conversations.

Online & flexible

All sessions can be conducted online, allowing you to connect from anywhere in the world, as long as you have a stable internet connection and sufficient proficiency in English or Dutch. You can choose the time and setting that works best for you. No commuting, no waiting rooms.
